I am writing to enquire about clinical placement opportunities with [organisation or service name]. I am a first-year MProf Psychotherapy trainee at Regent’s University London, having completed the Foundation Certificate in Psychotherapy and Counselling at Regent’s before beginning the MProf.
I currently volunteer with The Listening Place, where I have been trained to sit with people experiencing suicidal thoughts and offer a safe and non-judgemental space. This work continues to deepen my understanding of the importance of presence, careful listening, clear boundaries and consistency when meeting someone in distress.
Alongside my psychotherapy training, I bring substantial professional experience in product and engineering leadership. My work has required me to build trust, listen closely to different perspectives, remain thoughtful in complex situations and create psychologically safe environments. I would bring the same maturity, reliability and reflective approach to a placement team.
I am keen to begin developing my clinical experience within a supervised setting and would particularly value the opportunity for continuity of therapeutic work with clients. I am open to different services and client groups and am happy to travel across London for the right placement.
